Best Time to Visit Bhrigu Lake Trek
The Bhrigu Lake trek can be commenced from Mid-May to October but, the ideal time is either before June or after July-August, these being the monsoon months when the probability of landslides and other natural calamities is quite high.
Where is the Bhrigu Lake Trek
The Bhrigu Lake sits amidst Pir-Panjal ranges of the Garhwal Himalayas, located east of Rohtang Pass in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. The lake lies at a distance of 6 km. from Gulaba (commencing point of the trek), a picturesque village 22 km. from Manali and a little short of Rohtang Pass. According to the legends, the bank of Bhrigu Lake was once the meditation point of Bhrigh Rishi. It is also believed that many gods of the Kullu Valley took a holy dip in the sacred water, and that is why the lake is considered sacred by the Hindus and many devotees. On the Bhrigu valley trek, trekkers will be rewarded with the tremendous view of the mountains.

Day 1
Delhi – Manali (510 kms/ 12- 13 hrs)

Today in the evening, we will leave from Delhi to Manali by AC Volvo coach. An overnight Volvo journey.
Day 2
Manali
On arrival in Manali in the morning, meet our representative who will be there to transfer you to your already booked hotel in Manali. The rest of the day is free at leisure where in you can visit Hadimba Devi Temple, old Manali, Tibetan Monastery and the mall. An overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 03
Manali – Kulang and Trek to Moji Dugh (3250 meters) Duration- 4 hours
We all meet at the Ram Bagh Chowk near the Mall road. Just about 20 minutes head out the village of Kulang is positioned, from where our trek commences. As we depart from the beautiful valley, behind we get picturesque views of Manali and the forest all around. We proceed to Moji Dugh, on an ongoing trail, through the forests of Deodar, Oak and Pine. Our first camping site is in an open space in this amazing forest.
Day 04
Moji Dugh – Theli (3500 meters) Duration- 5 hours
Today, we will commence our trek after breakfast. The trail ascends progressively and will take you on the top of the tree line. See spectacular views of the striking Manali valley and astonishing peaks like Shikharbeh, Hanuman Tibba, and Makarbeh among others. We will camp in the towering altitude meadow of Theli. Covered with all over with snow ahead of schedule in the season it is like a widespread blanket of blossoming wild flowers as the spring arrives.
Day 05
Theli – Bhrigu Lake (4235 meters) to Theli (3500 meters) Duration-7 hours
The trail ascends gradually before a minuscule, steep climb to the lake. Walk on to the expansive Bhrigu ridge and get amazing panoramic perspective of the Kalihani Pass, Makarbeh, Hanuman Peak, Shakarbeh, and the Manali pass to the West, the Friendship, the Rohtang ridge to the north, Shitidhar Massif to the North – West and Hampta to the East.
Day 06
Theli – Vashisht (2600 meters) – Manali Duration- 4 hours
The last day of the trail is a steep descent through the deodar, chestnut and pine forests into the village of Vashisht. It is known for the hot water springs; it is the perfect final destination to end the trek with relaxing bath for long. By the evening, we head back to Manali where the trek ends.
Day 07
Manali – Delhi
The day is free at leisure. In the evening, we will drive to Delhi by AC Volvo coach. An overnight Volvo journey.
Day 08
Delhi
On arrival in Delhi in the morning, our representative will transfer you to your hotel for relaxation. In the evening, we will drive you to the International Airport to catch the flight for onward destination.
